A Life Built. A Shift Felt. A New Chapter Chosen.

John Walsh Coaching - About John Walsh

I spent years doing what I thought I was supposed to do —
work hard, show up, stay responsible, take care of others, keep moving.

On paper, life looked good.
Productive. Full. Successful.

But underneath it, something quieter was happening.

A sense of being slightly out of sync with myself.
Not broken — just disconnected.
Like I was living a life I knew how to maintain, but not one I felt deeply in.

There was no dramatic collapse.
No crisis or explosion.
Just a steady, honest knowing:

I couldn’t keep living on autopilot.

So I slowed down.
I began asking different questions.
Not the kind you answer quickly — the kind you sit with.

I learned how to be with myself — not just my role, my output, or my identity — but the deeper things:
doubt, longing, grief, hope, curiosity, desire, meaning.

And that’s what brought me to this work.

My Approach

Coaching with me is not about fixing you, optimizing you, or turning you into someone else.

It’s about coming home to yourself — the part of you that has been here all along, just under the noise, the momentum, and the expectations.

I work with men who are:

  • Successful on the outside, unsettled on the inside
  • In transition, even if they can’t quite name what’s changing
  • Ready for something real and grounded
  • Tired of pretending they’re fine

This work is slow, honest, and human.

We move at a pace that respects:

  • your nervous system
  • your reality
  • your current season of life

No hype.
No grind.
No mask.

Just truth, presence, clarity — one step at a time.

Training & Background

My style of coaching is shaped by both lived experience and formal training:

  • Certified Life Coach Institute — Certified Professional Coach
  • Neuro-encoding Specialist — behavior, identity, and emotional pattern work
  • EFT & Shadow Integration Practitioner — emotional presence + internal reconciliation
  • Completed an intensive, high-accountability performance coaching training program rooted in transformational coaching methodology (commonly associated with high-performance coaching systems)
  • B.A., University of Massachusetts Amherst

This work integrates:

  • Values-based decision making
  • Nervous system regulation
  • Emotional clarity and self-understanding
  • Habit & rhythm design that actually supports life
  • Presence over performance

A Bit More Humanly

I live in Maine.
I drink my coffee slowly.
I walk trails more often than roads.
I believe in quiet mornings, real conversation, and choosing your life consciously.

And I believe the second season of life can be the most meaningful one we ever live —
not by becoming someone new, but by returning to who we’ve always been.

If Any of this Resonates

You don’t need to have the right words.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You don’t need to explain yourself perfectly.

Just bring whatever you’re carrying.

We’ll start there.
